Job description
Purpose of the Role

The Brand Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies across multiple therapeutic indications. This role is instrumental in ensuring alignment with AbbVie’s global and regional strategies driving portfolio growth and maximizing patient impact.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Brand Management
  • Develop and implement brand strategies that align with the overarching portfolio objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with the TA strategic lead to localize and execute global marketing initiatives.
2. Marketing
  • Lead the development of marketing campaigns, materials and tactics.
  • Ensure brand consistency across indications while addressing unique market dynamics and patient needs.
  • Drive the key initiatives in coordination with cross‑functional teams.
  • Build marketing materials and CLM content such as integrated safety analysis.
  • Develop and execute end‑to‑end digital marketing campaigns for the brands focusing on enhancing customer engagement and driving business growth.
  • Drive excellence in peer‑to‑peer initiatives by tailoring content to meet diverse stakeholder needs and ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Market Access and Customer Excellence teams to develop value proposition marketing materials.
3. Performance Management
  • Track brand performance against defined KPIs and propose corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Managers to prepare long‑range plans (LRP) and forecasts.
  • Analyze the impact of marketing activities and adjust strategies to optimize results.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and payers.
  • Act as a key point of contact for cross‑functional teams and ensure alignment across departments.
5. Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with other brand managers to support other distributor markets.

Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture to drive success across the portfolio.

Qualifications

  • 24 years of relevant experience with a proven track record of success in a marketing position within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Solid knowledge of strategic and tactical marketing principles and techniques, including digital marketing.
  • Ability to translate strategies into actionable and realistic marketing tactics.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Iraq healthcare environment and evolving landscape.
  • Experience working in collaboration with cross‑functional teams and ability to lead, motivate and coordinate such teams.
  • Knowledge of governance models to track agreed‑upon KPIs and achieve the desired ROI.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer‑based programs, including spreadsheets and graphics.
  • Good knowledge of finance principles and processes is desirable, financial planning including sales and promotional budget forecasting, tracking and reporting.
  • English language proficiency verbally and in writing.

Adherent to the COBC and FCPA and local laws and Pharmacy Syndicate and other authorities.
