Job summary

A leading retail company in the UAE is looking for a Category Management professional to support the Consumer Electronics Accessories category. This position involves executing category strategies, coordinating with vendors, and preparing analytical reports. Ideal candidates will have 5–7 years of experience in category management, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. This role provides an opportunity for growth into a full Category Manager position.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years in category management (Consumer electronics accessories), merchandising, or retail buying.
  • Familiarity with retail ERP systems & Excel-based reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Category Manager in executing category strategies & business plans.
  • Coordinate with vendors for orders, promotions, and follow-ups.
  • Track sales performance, stock levels, margins & promotional outcomes.
  • Prepare analytical reports using Excel/ERP tools.
  • Support negotiations on vendor terms, pricing, and promotional contributions.
  • Coordinate with marketing & retail teams for campaign implementation.
  • Monitor competitor pricing, assortments & market trends.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and updates in ERP systems.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the category team.
  • Contribute ideas to improve assortment, profitability, and category performance.

Skills

Category management knowledge (preferably Accessories)
Strong analytical & numerical ability
Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Reporting)
Vendor coordination & negotiation support
ERP system knowledge (Retail ERP preferred)
Understanding of consumer electronics accessories

Education
