Assistant, Associate Professor

The School of Management is seeking highly qualified faculty members specializing in the International business area to join our academic team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in enhancing our programs, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting the school's academic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the program's subject matter expert.
• Support the Program Chair/Coordinator in daily operations.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with university standards and UAE Ministry of Higher Education requirements.
• Engage in teaching, research, development, and community outreach activities.
• Participate in administrative duties and community service.

Teaching and Academic Duties:

• Instruct graduate and undergraduate courses in the relevant field.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit timely grades.
• Deliver and update course syllabi.
• Assist in curriculum evaluation and suggest improvements.
• Hold regular office hours and support student learning.
• Advise students, particularly those at academic risk.
• Recommend learning resources and materials.
• Contribute to new course development.
• Stay current with disciplinary developments through research and professional engagement.

Administrative and Community Engagement:

• Attend faculty and departmental meetings.
• Participate in orientation and professional development workshops.
• Engage in community outreach activities.
• Support the School's accreditation efforts.
• Represent the Canadian University Dubai in professional settings.

Qualification & Experience:

The minimum amount of education and experience that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties of the position are as follows:

• A Ph.D. in International Business or a closely related field from a QS top 500 university, preferably from a Western-accredited institution.
• Candidates must have a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness and research publications in highly ranked Scopus journals.
• Applicants with experience within a Canadian Institution are preferred.
• Middle East teaching experience is preferred.
