Role Summary

The incumbent as Quality Assistant Manager at GMG oversees the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance standards across all Farm Fresh operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining the safety and quality of products by enforcing regulatory compliance streamlining QA processes and ensuring that all procedures align with GMGs quality and safety objectives. Additionally the position requires analyzing data identifying areas for improvement and ensuring continuous improvement initiatives are executed effectively to enhance overall product quality.

Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality control systems across the production process ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards in line with GMGs guidelines.
  • Oversee product testing analyzing quality reports and establishing corrective actions when needed.
  • Conduct site audits regularly coordinates with production managers to improve workflows and updates quality protocols to meet regulatory and safety standards.
  • Play a critical role in implementing new quality control measures provide insights on risk assessment and ensure compliance with local and international food safety laws.
  • Liaise with the R&D team to integrate quality benchmarks for new products trains quality control staff on standard procedures
  • Collaborate with the SAP ERP team to ensure accurate data management in QA reporting.
  • Coordinate with external certification bodies manage relationships with quality certification authorities and stay updated on regulatory changes ensuring that all quality assurance operations reflect current best practices.
  • Oversee the training of staff on quality protocols.
Functional / Technical Competencies
  • Advanced knowledge of food quality and safety standards is required along with skills in interpreting and implementing regulatory guidelines.
  • Proficiency in using analytical tools for quality testing including SAP ERP for real-time data documentation and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address quality issues promptly ensuring the efficiency of corrective actions.
  • Risk analysis managing compliance audits and maintaining process documentation are required.
  • Excellent communication skills to relay quality control findings and recommendations effectively to both internal teams and external partners.
