Role Summary

The Accounts Supervisor oversees all accounting activities related to the general ledger ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role manages daily transactions coordinates month‑end and year‑end closing prepares financial statements and ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The Accounts Supervisor leads a team of accountants and collaborates with other departments and external auditors to support financial objectives and maintain robust internal controls.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Supervise Accounting Operations
  • Execute monthly general ledger activities including journal entries account analysis and discrepancy resolution
  • Supervise accounts payable/receivable general ledger entries and bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile sub‑ledgers with general ledger monthly and during year‑end closings
  • Prepare trial balance P&L balance sheet and cash flow statements
Audit and Compliance
  • Support and coordinate with external and internal auditors addressing audit queries promptly
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS tax regulations and company policies
Internal Controls
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements
  • Manage accounting systems and coordinate with IT to ensure system integrity
  • Organize financial data into usable information and maintain updated records
Financial Planning
  • Prepare short and long‑term financial forecasts budgets and business performance reports
  • Support feasibility studies due diligence financial modeling and revenue projections
  • Analyze budget utilization and align with departmental and organizational strategies
People Management
  • Set team goals and monitor KPIs as per the GMG performance management process
  • Mentor and develop junior accounting staff to enhance team capability
  • Promote a continuous feedback and development culture
Technical Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Oracle SAP)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical mindset
  • Time management and multitasking ability
  • Accuracy and timeliness in general ledger reconciliations
  • Strong compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
