Job description

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a fast growing real estate investment and development company in the United Arab Emirates, known for its innovative projects and commitment to excellence. With a portfolio that spans across high-profile developments in residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties, they are looking to recruit for an Accountant with experience in Real estate or Construction Industry. This role is a bridge between the finance and sales department. The Job responsibilities are as below:

  • Managing customer payments, including down payments, regular instalments, and using various payment methods for property purchases.
  • Facilitating local and international bank transfers for buyers' units.
  • Recording payments from banks into our Customer Experience Management (CEM) system.
  • Collaborating with administration to finalise unit reservations and bookings.
  • Overseeing the accounts payable and receivable modules within our accounting software.
  • Compiling balance sheets to illustrate profit and loss.
  • Gathering and updating documentation across all platforms.
  • Verifying accounts payable and receivable, cross-referencing invoices, and authorising payments or receipts.
  • Compiling data for final payments and accounts receivable reports.
  • Allocating payments to internal accounts and maintaining meticulous transaction records.
  • Managing accounts for multiple owners' associations, from recording transactions to coordinating statutory audits.
  • Engaging in managing ESCROW accounts with the finance team, providing accurate customer payment and accounts receivable information.
  • Participating in the developer's Trust Account System (TAS) introduced by regulatory departments, allocating payments per purchase agreements.
  • Direct interaction with clients to handle payments and ensure accurate system allocation.
  • Conducting thorough checks on Sales Purchase Agreements (SPAs), verifying information provided by the sales team including customer details, status, and finance reports.
  • Issuing properly documented invoices and tracking payments according to payment plans.
  • Submitting sales information to finance and maintaining proficiency in CRM tools such as BITRIX.
  • Seeking candidates with a background in economics or accounting, capable of initiating and preparing tasks effectively.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Real Estate Developer within the UAE.
  • Strong background in real estate or construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards applicable in the UAE.
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Demonstrated bookkeeping expertise.
  • Proficiency in using FirstBit / 1C software.
