Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems & Salesforce Administrator to own our Salesforce platform and wider IT structure. The successful candidate will spend a majority significant portion of time developing, customising and integrating Salesforce, while also overseeing network infrastructure, cyber security and the portfolio of business systems that support day‑to‑day operations (Sage, Microsoft 365, Teams VoIP, Moodle LMS, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.). The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to translate requirements into robust technical solutions and ensure all systems are secure, reliable and delivering value.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as product owner for Salesforce, gathering requirements, designing scalable architecture and implementing configuration, automation, and code, as needed.
• Build and maintain custom objects, page layouts, record types, validation rules, reports and dashboards.
• Manage integrations between Salesforce and Sage, Moodle, 365, marketing tools and other third‑party applications using APIs and middleware.
• Oversee data quality, migrations and deduplication, design and execute data loading routines.
• Monitor usage, licence allocation and system health, plan upgrades and feature adoption.

Systems Administration & Support

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint) and Teams VoIP solution.
• Maintain Moodle LMS, Sage accountancy and payroll, Adobe Creative Cloud and other SaaS/PaaS tools, ensuring seamless user experience and appropriate access controls.
• Lead server migrations and cloud‑first initiatives, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Regularly audit and recommend systems for replacement and lead the migration of same.
• Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency.

Cyber Security & IT Governance

• Own the organisation’s cyber‑security, implementing best‑practice frameworks and managing firewalls, EDR, MFA and secure backups.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security awareness training.
• Develop, implement and enforce IT policies, procedures and business continuity plans.

Infrastructure & Networking

• Design, configure and monitor network infrastructure, including switches, Wi‑Fi, VPN and firewalls.
• Manage hardware lifecycle, asset inventory and procurement.

User Enablement

• Deliver training and documentation for staff on Salesforce and other systems.
• Provide support, escalating to vendors where necessary.

Qualification and Experience:

Minimum 4-5 years of experience is desired

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in Windows, SharePoint, Salesforce, and Moodle.
• Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, backups, recovery, and business continuity.
• Familiarity with Linux and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Experience:

• Experience in server management and migrations.
• Proven experience in implementing IT policies and security measures.
• Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is desirable.

Skills:

• Ability to automate IT processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and system support skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to innovate and plan for future IT needs and advancements.

Certifications:

• Salesforce certifications (essential): Salesforce Certified Administrator plus at least one of Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder or Platform Developer I.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, etc.
• Additional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, or ITIL Foundation are advantageous.
