Our client, a well-established vineyard and livestock farm, situated in AGTER-PAARL, has an opportunity to appoint a Farm Manager with excellent communication and strong people management skills to join their team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on team player, energetic, with a problem-solving attitude and able to multi-task under pressure.

The position will primarily be responsible for the management of the vineyards on the farm.

The candidate will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

• All aspects related to Vineyard Production
• Management of the livestock unit
• Farm maintenance related work
• Accurate recordkeeping and compliance standards of WIETA Audits
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes where needed
• Monitor vine health, disease management, etc.
• Management of permanent and seasonal workers on the farm
• All other aspects related to this position

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
• Approximately 5-7 years in a similar role
• Mechanical skills
• Strong understanding of wine production, grape varieties, and viticulture techniques
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office)
• Valid driver's license and PDP

A market-related remuneration salary package will be offered to the successful candidate, which includes accommodation and other benefits.
