Job description

The Company's operations include large scale vegetable farming using conventional farming techniques as well as hydroponics and processing and packing. The farm has a packing house which allows for bulking, sorting, packaging and labeling in line with procurement standards which are a pre-requisite for participating in formal value chains.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the company's financial management and internal controls
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans and business drivers
  • Ensure that the company's financial systems are robust, compliant and support the current activities and future growth
  • Develop and control the company's annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met
  • Prepare the monthly management accounts
  • Present the management accounts and annual financial statements to the board of directors
  • Direct and control the financial management team
  • Oversee the preparation of the company's annual financial statements
  • Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure an effective and efficient financial management system
  • Develop financial and tax strategies
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
  • Oversee the company's transaction processing systems
  • Oversee the external audit with the company's auditors

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 10 years' financial management experience;
  • Excellent financial management and written communication skills; Proven track record of fulfilling the role of a Financial Manager;
