Job Description & Summary
At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialise in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimise operational efficiency. These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.
As a SAP consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services across various SAP applications to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of SAP applications. Your versatile knowledge will allow you to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency and achieving their strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Roadmap
- Help define the SAP IBP strategy and multi‑year roadmap aligned to business goals.
- Identify opportunities to leverage IBP capabilities (Demand, Inventory, Supply, S&OP, Control Tower) to optimise planning and decision‑making.
- Champion best practices in integrated business planning and advanced analytics.
Solution Design & Governance
- Lead end‑to‑end solution design for SAP IBP, including process design, data models, planning levels, key figures, and configuration.
- Establish design and configuration standards, templates, and governance processes for IBP.
- Ensure solution integration with SAP S/4HANA or ECC, APO (if applicable), BW, and other planning, analytics, and master data systems.
- Own the IBP data and planning model integrity (master data, time series, attributes, hierarchies).
Implementation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead IBP implementation and enhancement projects from initiation through go‑live and hypercare.
- Drive backlog prioritisation and release management for IBP changes and improvements.
- Oversee testing strategy (unit, integration, UAT, regression) and cutover planning.
- Monitor system performance and planning outcomes; define KPIs and dashboards to measure value realization.
Business Partnership & Process Ownership
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to define and optimise planning processes integrated in IBP.
- Facilitate and support S&OP/IBP cycles with scenario planning, simulations, and executive decision support.
- Translate business requirements into solution designs and articulate trade‑offs, options, and recommendations.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of internal SAP IBP specialists and external consultants.
- Build internal capabilities by providing training, knowledge transfer, and best practice guidance to planners and key users.
Risk, Compliance & Change Management
- Ensure adherence to IT and security standards, data governance, and compliance requirements.
- Drive change management, stakeholder engagement, and communication plans for IBP initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate project and operational risks related to IBP processes and technology.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Integrated Planning, with at least 5+ years hands‑on in SAP IBP.
- Proven leadership of full lifecycle SAP IBP implementations (blueprint through stabilisation), including at least one global or multi‑region deployment.
- Strong functional expertise in at least two IBP modules:
- IBP for Demand (forecasting, DP, demand sensing)
- IBP for Supply & Response
- IBP for Inventory
- IBP for S&OP / Integrated Business Planning
- Solid understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes (Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimisation).
- Experience integrating SAP IBP with S/4HANA or ECC, and familiarity with CPI-DS or similar integration tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline.
- Experience in [specify industry: e.g., Consumer Goods, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, High‑Tech, etc.].
- Prior experience with legacy planning tools (SAP APO, SNP, DP, PP/DS) and their migration to IBP.
- Understanding of advanced analytics and forecasting techniques; exposure to data science/ML for demand planning is a plus.
- SAP IBP certification or equivalent vendor/partner certifications.
