Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Research Assistant (University-Based) for a part‑time position. This role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or academic professionals with a passion for research and analysis. The selected candidate will work in collaboration with university faculty and research teams, contributing to projects in social sciences, technology, healthcare, or business domains. Assist in designing, conducting, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research studies.
Collect and organize data from primary and secondary sources including academic journals, surveys, interviews, and online databases.
Perform literature reviews and prepare summaries to support ongoing research projects.
Draft research reports, documentation, and presentations under faculty or senior researcher guidance.
Maintain accurate records of research findings, experiment logs, and data analysis procedures.
Use data analysis software such as SPSS, R, Excel, or Python (training provided if needed).
Collaborate with research teams and attend regular project meetings (virtually or on‑campus, as required).
Comply with all ethical and academic standards in research practices.
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelors or masters degree program (preferably in Social Sciences, Business, Computer Science, Education, or related fields).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
Basic understanding of academic research methodologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Prior experience in research or academic writing is a plus, but not mandatory.
Internships or course‑based research projects will be considered as relevant experience.
Part‑time: 10–20 hours per week
