Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach conversational English to adult learners
  • Review prepared lesson materials ahead of each class

  • Monitor learner progress and give constructive feedback
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • A matric certificate
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred
  • A 120‑hour TEFL/TESOL certificate
  • Teaching experience, especially online teaching is advantageous
  • Excellent spoken and written English with a neutral accent
  • Confidence using Zoom and other basic tech tools
  • Strong online classroom presence and communication skills
Equipment & Infrastructure
  • Laptop/PC with Intel® Core™ i5 or higher and 8GB RAM
  • Stable fibre internet with 25 Mbps download/upload minimum (LAN cable connection only)
  • Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) that provides 4–5 hours of backup power
  • Separate mini‑UPS to keep your fibre router powered during outages
  • Noise‑cancelling headset, HD webcam, and a quiet, professional workspace
Hours & Remuneration

Choose from the availability blocks below. Classes are booked 2 weeks in advance and grouped into 2‑hour teaching slots:

  • Mon – Fri 16:00 – 03:00 SAST
  • Mon – Fri 19:00 – 05:00 SAST
  • Wed - Sun 10:00 - 19:00 SAST
  • Wed - Sun 18:00 - 03:00 SAST
  • Sat - Wed 10:00 - 19:00 SAST
  • Sat - Wed 18:00 - 03:00 SAST
