What you will be doing:
  • Compile and validate Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG), impact, and infrastructure reports for pension fund clients using Excel and Power BI while utilising data from sources like MSCI BarraOne and other ESG providers.
  • Map assets to SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), impact themes, and NDPs (National Development Plans), and provide insightful analysis and commentary based on outcomes.
  • Respond to client queries, assist in sustainability research, and support ad hoc ESG-related analysis.
  • Review and enhance sustainability reports produced by team members, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Draft articles, attend conferences, and contribute to surveys and case studies.
  • Continuously improve ESG data collection, analysis, and visualisation processes.
  • Support internal training and development related to ESG, and engage in personal development.
What our client is looking for:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be ideal (Development Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, etc.)
  • Relevant certifications related to ESG and Impact such as CFA ESG, SASB FSA, or similar would be beneficial.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in ESG analysis or sustainability fields with a strong understanding of ESG, SDGs, NDP, and impact investing concepts.
  • Knowledge of key sustainability standards and frameworks
  • Strong numeric skills with the ability to analyse and handle large datasets accurately.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong research abilities, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to and engaging with clients professionally.
  • Effective at managing time, meeting deadlines, and handling pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Able to work both independently and in teams with a proactive, innovative mindset.
