Responsibilities
  • Prepare business activity reports, financial statements, and forecasts.
  • Make sure financial legal requirements are met.
  • Developing financial reporting systems.
  • Find ways to reduce or maintain costs by studying financial reports and business processes.
  • Analyse market trends to discover business opportunities and maximise profits.
  • Aid management in financial decisions.
  • Maintain up to date financial system knowledge
  • Collecting, interpreting, and reviewing financial information
  • Predicting future financial trends
  • Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice on how the company and future business decisions might be impacted
  • Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
  • Developing long‑term business plans based on these reports
  • Reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets
  • Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk
  • Providing back office services such as accounts payable, collection and payroll.
  • Monitoring cash flow.
  • Understand GL
  • Liaising with accountant teams.
  • Providing insights on the financial health of the organisation.
  • Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
  • Developing relationships with external contacts such as auditors, solicitors, suppliers and contractor personnel.
  • Supervising & supporting finance dept staff.
Requirements
  • Financial Qualification with 6-8 years experience
  • Sage Experience advantageous
  • Portuguese speaking advantageous
  • Experience with Off Shore companies advantageous
  • Able to work cross functionally and be hands on.
