A leading logistics company in South Africa is looking for a Contract Manager to oversee contract management and ensure efficient plant operations. The successful candidate will manage all contractual matters, monitor production outputs, and enforce compliance with organizational policies. A degree in Operations, Production Management, or Industrial Engineering is required along with a minimum of 5 years in production and contract management. The job involves liaison with various stakeholders and ensuring adherence to safety standards, making strong interpersonal skills essential.

The incumbent will be responsible for the consistent management of all proposals and contracts signed between CHEP and the relevant Service Providers, which consists of Pallet/Container/RPC. In addition, the plant administration function will report to the successful incumbent. This will include the oversight of the contract management process, as well as adherence and development of specific agreed standards, contract negotiations and document management.
The incumbent will be required to manage direct and indirect reports ensure maximum output at acceptable quality standards without any damage to the environment or injury to the employees.
The Contracts Managers role in contract development requires close collaboration with various departments, including operations, project management, account management, business operations and finance. Day to day functions to be professionally managed to ensure employee satisfaction, good communication and that resolution between CHEP management and the Service Provider are achieved.
Ensure that the Operations objectives are supported in productivity improvement, plant and facilities are maintained in line with the best operations practises.
