Senior QA Engineer
Job summary
A leading optics manufacturing company in Singapore seeks a Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in quality roles, preferably in optics manufacturing. The role involves applying quality tools, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001/14001 standards, and facilitating effective corrective actions. The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate leadership and critical thinking skills while being willing to travel for site visits.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a quality function role in optics manufacturing.
- Minimum Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee complaint handling process and monitor quality assurance performance metrics.
- Lead improvement projects to sustain QEMS & ESG initiatives.
- Collaborate with departments to implement countermeasures for adverse trends.
- Participate in customer meetings and investigations for complaints.

In close partnership with the Head of Department, the selected candidate will work collaboratively with WEO manufacturing sites to support the seamless implementation of the corporate quality strategy and ensure the effective execution of tactical action plans.
The individual will oversee the complaint handling process, monitor quality assurance performance metrics, and ensure that timely and effective corrective actions are implemented to address any negative trends.

- Participate in the planning and execution of Corporate QA strategy supporting Business requirements
- Lead improvement projects to sustain the vitality of the QEMS & ESG Sustainability Initiative
- Track, monitor and report QA performance metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to lead quality improvement initiatives, implementing prompt and effective countermeasures to resolve adverse trends.
- Participate in NPI / FA drawing review meetings with factory to align test acceptance criteria and inspection test plans
- Support inspection correlation activities between customer and factory
- Review FA documentation for completeness and submit FA package for Qualification
- liaison between customer and factory/supplier on quality issues
- coordinate investigation and root cause analysis, drive product quality improvement
- verification of effectiveness and ensure timely closure of CAPA/SCAR
- participate in customer weekly meetings
- Planning of inspection
- Coordinate investigation of quality issues with factory/supplier
- Coordinate MRB review meeting to ensure NCMR are investigated and processed in a timely manner
- Coordinate the Sustainability Initiatives with manufacturing sites
- support the implementation and maintenance of QMS according to ISO 9001/14001 requirements
- lead preparation and handling of customer audits
- Conduct Safety & QEMS awareness and quality tools training
- 5 years and above in a Quality function role from Optics manufacturing, precision assembly environment.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge and application of Quality tools, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Experienced in Optical measurement equipment
- Willingness and ability to travel to production sites, suppliers, and customers located in China and Malaysia are required
