Job Description
Our client is an international ship management MNC and in order to support the growth strategy and to strengthen its operations team, our client is hiring its:

Vessel Accountant

Based in Singapore

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vessel Accounting: Oversee and manage vessel accounting processes to ensure accurate financial records. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and expertise in portage bill accounting procedures.

Accounting Management: Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable systems. Manage invoice and payment processing and assist in preparation of vessel reports.

Inter-Company Reconciliation: Contribute to financial accuracy by aiding in the reconciliation of inter-company vessel balances.

Collaborative Coordination: Work closely with various departments to ensure timely completion of reports. Engage in ad hoc assignments to support the finance and accounts department.

Documentation: Ensure timely delivery of data concerning vessel reports to supervisors and support audit requirements and processes.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE 'A' Levels/Diploma/Degree in Commerce or Accountancy
• At least 2 - 5 years relevant working experience preferably in Ship Management/Shipping Industry.
• Proven experience in corporate accounting, preferably within the maritime or shipping industry.
• Sound knowledge of vessel accounting practices and experience with ship accounting and preparation of shipping reports.
• Good communication skills - able to converse in fluent English.
• Good employment track record.
