Job description
Overview

Key responsibilities are group financial consolidation and managing the group audit process.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the preparation of group consolidation financial statements on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Ensure that group consolidation processes and financial reporting are fully compliant with the company's accounting policies, IFRS and relevant local regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare group consolidation journals, ensure accurate intercompany eliminations, perform variance analysis and deliver timely and accurate consolidation financial results.
  • Responsible for submission of monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidation financial report and disclosure notes to shareholders, in accordance with the reporting pack provided by the shareholder.
  • Monitor and implement updates to accounting standards and regulatory changes that impact group reporting.
  • Manage the group audit process, including planning, execution and finalization of audit deliverables. Liaise with external auditors, subsidiary finance teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth audit processes and timely resolution of audit queries.
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails to support consolidated financial statements.
  • Act as the user administrator for the HFM system, responsible for managing group journals, and controlling the opening and closing of reporting periods.
  • Handle any ad-hoc financial information requests from shareholders or management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA/CA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in group consolidation and audit.
  • Experience in SAP (S4 Hana) and HFM/SmartView; strong command of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadline.
  • Hands-on experience with consolidation financial statements
  • Good understanding of IFRS and consolidation principles.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with auditors and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
