Job summary
A leading healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a Clinical Nurse to support the Neurology/neurosurgery department. You will be responsible for patient assessment, develop education programmes, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will hold a nursing qualification, possess at least 5 years of acute care experience, and have strong communication skills. This role includes rotating shifts and on-call duties.
Qualifications
- Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical working experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating clinical practice settings.
- Work closely with nursing staff and physicians for patient care.
- Provide resources and education programmes to patients and families.
Skills
Education
Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating the overall clinical practice setting and standard of care for patients in Neurology/neurosurgery department. You will work closely with the all grades of nursing staff, physicians and inter-disciplinaryteam to provide optimal care and best outcomes to patients.You will act as a clinical resource person to nursing staff in the management of patients and manages a practice caseload in Neuroscience.You will adopt evidenced-based clinical practice, teaching programmes to nursing staff, provide resources and comprehensive patient education programmes to patients, families & public. You will also be cross-trained and deployed to provide nursing care in the Endovascular Centre. Able to perform rotating shifts and on-call duties.
Requirements
- Recognised General Nursing qualification and registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
- Degree in Nursing or Advanced Diploma in Nursing or its equivalent in the area of Neurosciencespecialty is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical working experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Possesses good communication skills and a goodteam player
