About the Strategic Communications Unit (SCU)

The Strategic Communications Unit (SCU) is responsible for creating, implementing and delivering timely, clear, concise, and effective messaging and communication strategies to enhance the corporate profile of SNEF and promulgate SNEF’s key messages across all media platforms.

The SCU produces and disseminates information, messages and publications to relevant stakeholder groups through internal and external communication and works to raise the profile of SNEF internally and externally through the development of communication and media strategies that promote the mission of SNEF. The SCU will reside as a dedicated unit under the Policy Division helmed by the Head (Strategic Communications).

Job Description:

1. Online comms specialist
2. Plan, create and publish persuasive digital communication content for SNEF websites and social media accounts that strikes a chord with the intended audience, and is unique to the typical interactions of each online platform to grow an audience and build brand awareness.
3. Oversee site metrics for SNEF’s online platforms, interact with online visitors, and be responsible for creative design for SNEF’s online platforms.
4. Set up and optimise SNEF’s online and social media pages within each platform to increase the visibility of SNEF’s social media content.
5. Use analytical tools to monitor and prepare reports on the impact of online communications activities, developments, trends, and attitudes on issues of concern to SNEF.
6. Support the coordination and implementation of SNEF’s crisis communications strategy.
7. Suggest recommendations to adjust the social media marketing strategy for optimal results and stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media.

Job Requirements for Executive/Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (Comms) – Online Comms

1. Bachelor’s degree in Media Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (essential).
2. Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills (candidate will need to go through written and oral presentation).
3. Able to work independently with minimal direction or supervision.
4. Must be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
5. Proficient in MS Office tools such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
6. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
7. Strategic and creative mindset.
8. Meticulous attention to detail.
9. Skills in copywriting, editing, and video communications are a plus.
10. Good experience/knowledge in CMS, Google Analytics, and basic HTML knowledge is an added advantage.
11. Experience in web design and content production.
12. Proven social media and networking expertise.
