Software Design Engineer
Job summary
A logistics technology firm located in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop software for airport logistics systems. Candidates should have a Master's degree in Software Engineering and several years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server. The role involves requirement analysis, software development, and providing support. Applicants should be able to work independently and are expected to travel for projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on innovative technologies in the aviation sector.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in Microsoft Visual Studio IDE.
- Experience in Materials Handling systems is an advantage.
- General understanding of engineering drawings and 3D Visualization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for airport logistics systems.
- Perform requirement analysis and functional specifications.
- Provide end-user training and support.
Skills
Education
Design and develop software applications for airport logistics systems such as baggage handling systems, air cargo handling systems, in-flights catering systems, and parcel sortation systems. The computer software engineer shall perform the following functions:
- Requirement analysis.
- Functional specification documentation.
- Software design and development.
- Software implementation.
- Testing and commissioning.
- Provide end-user training and pre and after-sales support.
- Master's Degree/Degree or Diploma in Software Engineering or related discipline.
- Several years of experience in Microsoft Visual Studio IDE Programming Platform, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL Server Reporting Services;
- Candidates who have some years of experience in Materials Handling systems will be an advantage;
- Able to put theory into practice;
- Good understanding of VMware, Networking, and Windows Servers;
- General understanding of engineering drawings and 3D Visualization;
- Solution-oriented and adaptable to overcome technical challenges;
- Committed team player, able to work independently, and strong problem-solving skills;
- Applicants MUST be able to work independently within a team and be technology-driven
- Applicants MUST be willing to travel and work in Singapore and on overseas projects.
