Job summary

A construction safety management company in Singapore is seeking a qualified safety officer to maintain safety compliance as per the WSH Act. Responsibilities include the administration of safety records, advising the project management team, conducting daily EHS meetings, and ensuring a safe work environment. Candidates must have an Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health, as well as risk management and First Aid certifications. Job description
  • To maintain safety & health in accordance with WSH Act and WSH legislative requirements
  • Responsible for administration of safety & health records accordingly to the company’s accreditation such as ISO, OSHAS & BizSafe requirements and preparation for audits
  • Responsible for implementation and administration of site Safety & Health Management System (SHMS), identification of WSH Hazards, implementation of control measures, conduct Safety inspection and Safety committee meetings, update and reviewing of changes
  • To provide technical and professional safety assistance to the site construction management
  • To brief Project Manager / Project Team regularly on the execution status of the overall EHS program
  • To conduct daily EHS toolbox meeting, prepare and maintain PTW records
  • Promptly correct any unsafe condition or practice
  • To conduct accident/incident investigations and preparation of investigation reports, including the effective closures of all corrective/preventive actions
  • Recommend Stop Work Order to Project Manager when unsafe conditions arise including to promptly correcting any unsafe conditions or safe work practice
  • Identify environmental health irregularities and recommend measures to rectify such irregularities
  • Inspect site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health are in proper working condition and do not pose any environmental health hazard
  • Participate as a risk management team member in the site RM organization
  • Participate in risk assessment activities for site
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health, Risk Management and First Aid certified.
