The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years experience in the aviation industry. Job description

The Workshop Manager reports to the Production & Maintenance Manager and is responsible for his/her Production Area. He/She is responsible for:

  • Manage to meet and exceed daily KPIs including Quality, TAT and OTD;
  • Plan and schedule Production Activities;
  • Review the workload for his/her respective production area and make manpower deployment moves accordingly;
  • Ability to work closely with internal stakeholders to schedule WIP jobs, monitor progress and ensure on time delivery of committed TAT;
  • Ensuring the maintenance of aircraft components are accomplished within the approval of the maintenance organization and the capability list;
  • Ensuring that all aircraft components are appropriately maintained (Overhauled/Repaired/Inspected/Modified) in accordance with approved maintenance data, manufacturers’ manuals/specifications and airworthiness requirements;
  • Managing maintenance personnel to perform maintenance work according to current and approved maintenance data, relevant manufacturer’s manuals and specifications; and record all maintenance work carried out in the maintenance record;
  • Ensuring the final aircraft components meet the customer requirements of product quality;
  • Ensuring all operations general tools and equipment are properly controlled and maintained, in serviceable condition, and valid for aircraft component maintenance work within his/her Production Area;
  • Ensuring maintenance personnel attend all the required and relevant initial and recurrent training on Quality, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Technical and OJT;
  • Ensuring maintenance personnel receive adequate Technical Training (Products, Processes, and Practical) to perform the aircraft component maintenance work;
  • Ensuring effective and efficient corrective and preventive actions in the event of any non-conformance and non-compliance matters;
  • Ensuring disciplinary action among maintenance personnel with regards to violation of airworthiness, quality, environmental, health, safety and security regulations and requirements;
  • Ensuring all maintenance personnel observe airworthiness, quality, environment, health and safety precautions and regulations relevant to their operations.;
  • Ensuring that all measuring equipment in the company are registered and controlled in the Calibration System. To ensure that the calibration recall system is effective and that all tools used in the workshop are promptly calibrated and within tolerance;
  • Ensuring that all maintenance work performed are correctly and appropriately documented, filed, and kept safely;
  • Managing, maintaining, and controlling all special tools/equipment, test equipment, alternate tools /equipment, and operations machines and tools / fixtures;
  • Performing Capability Listing Evaluation;
  • Implement Safety culture in his/her Production area;
  • Implement Lean culture;
  • Ensuring conformance of repair with market standard performances;
  • Reports KPI to Production & Maintenance Manager.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in aviation industry in operations;
  • Preferably with mechanical and avionics knowledge;
  • Able to organize and manage teams;
  • Evaluate conformity of the organization;
  • Manage dashboards;
  • Communicate with people in every different level of hierarchy;
  • Lean oriented.
