Job summary

A leading safety consultancy firm in Singapore seeks an experienced Workplace Safety and Health professional. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience and possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health. Responsibilities include risk assessment, incident reporting, and compliance advice. This role requires regular travel to various project site offices within Singapore, emphasizing the importance of practical experience and certification in this critical field.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Workplace Safety and Health.
  • Certified to be an Assessor and able to endorse safety documents.
  • Strongly preferred to be ECO Certified.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers to identify and assess risks in the workplace.
  • Recommend measures to eliminate foreseeable risks.
  • Report incidents and follow reporting processes.
  • Advise on legal compliance with local Acts and Regulations.

Job description
Key Responsibilities:
  • To assist the customer at the workplace or the person in charge of the workplace to identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes therein;
  • To recommend to the customer at the workplace or the person in charge of the workplace, reasonably practicable measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at work in that workplace or may be affected by the customer’s undertaking in the workplace;
  • To assist the customer at the workplace or the person in charge of the workplace to implement the measure or safe work procedure.
  • To promptly report any incidents and accidents to the company's site management and follow Incident Reporting and Investigation processes.
  • To advise the occupier on legal compliance with local Acts and Regulations
  • To manage and act as an immediate responder to local authorities such as the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) if needed.
Key Tasks:
  • To enter, inspect, and examine at any reasonable time the workplace;
  • To inspect and examine any machinery, equipment, plant, installation, or article in the workplace;
  • To conduct all necessary and thorough examinations and inquiries of the workplace and of any person at work at that workplace required to execute their duties;
  • To require the production of workplace records, certificates, notices, s and documents kept or required to be kept under the Act, including any other relevant document, and to inspect and examine any of them;
  • To assess the levels of noise, illumination, heat, or harmful or hazardous substances in the workplace and the exposure levels of persons at work therein;
  • To investigate any accident, dangerous occurrence, or occupational disease that occurred within the workplace.

  • Certificate in Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health.
  • Certified to Work in Confined Spaces.
  • Certified to be an Assessor and able to endorse safety documents.

  • Knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health Act.
  • Knowledge of the PTW system.
  • Knowledge in preparing EHS reports.
  • Willing to travel around project site offices within Singapore
