A logistics company in Singapore is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations. The role requires managing inbound and outbound processes, ensuring efficient inventory controls, and leading a team of warehouse staff. The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of logistics experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role, and excellent leadership and problem-solving skills are essential. This position is crucial for maintaining safety and efficiency in operations.
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, storage, inventory control, outbound dispatch, and distribution. This role ensures efficient, accurate, and cost-effective warehouse activities while maintaining safety, quality, and service-level targets.
Manage and supervise inbound shipments from suppliers, factories, and third-party logistics providers
Plan and coordinate receiving schedules to optimize dock utilization
Ensure accurate receiving, verification, and documentation of goods (PO matching, GRN, discrepancies)
Oversee put-away processes to ensure correct storage locations and FIFO/FEFO compliance
Resolve inbound issues such as shortages, damages, and delivery delays
Oversee outbound picking, packing, staging, and dispatch activities
Ensure on-time and accurate fulfillment of orders
Coordinate with delivery team, freight forwarders, and courier partners
Monitor loading operations and ensure shipment accuracy and documentation
Manage urgent, priority, and special shipment requests
Maintain accurate inventory records and stock integrity
Conduct cycle counts and support full physical stock takes
Monitor inventory levels, slow-moving, and obsolete stock
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances
Ensure proper handling of damaged or returned goods
Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and material flow
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Improve productivity through process improvement and best practices
Support WMS implementation, enhancements, and system accuracy
Lead, train, and supervise warehouse supervisors and operators
Plan manpower requirements and shift schedules
Set performance targets and conduct regular performance reviews
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with workplace safety, security, and regulatory requirements
Enforce safe material handling and equipment usage (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
Conduct safety briefings, audits, and incident investigations
Coordinate with procurement, sales, customer service, and logistics teams
Prepare and present operational reports (KPIs, productivity, accuracy, costs)
Track and improve key metrics such as OTIF, order accuracy, inventory accuracy
Inbound receiving accuracy and turnaround time
Outbound order accuracy and on-time dispatch
Inventory accuracy and stock variance
Warehouse productivity and labor efficiency
Safety incidents and compliance levels
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field
Minimum 5–8 years of warehouse or logistics experience
At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong hands-on experience managing inbound and outbound operations
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Good leadership and people management skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Effective communication and coordination skills
