Global Financial Markets (GFM) delivers holistic solutions to address clients' hedging and investment needs, with a strong regional focus. The unit is a market leader in SGD and regional products, supported by excellent, customer-driven research capabilities and cutting-edge risk management technology and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Risk Reviews with business stakeholders, highlighting key risk and control issues and trends.
• Design, implement, and conduct Quality Assurance Reviews on critical controls to ensure process effectiveness.
• Champion and cultivate a robust risk culture across Global Financial Markets (GFM).
• Provide operational risk oversight and support for all GFM locations.
• Develop, maintain, and effectively communicate operational risk documentation, including mandates, policies, standards, and process maps, within the unit.
• Ensure rigorous implementation and compliance with operational risk policies and standards, escalating significant issues to unit management as required.
• Drive the automation and digitalization of Risk Control monitoring and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with business and support units to enhance processes and systems, supporting product and business requirements in sales, trading, new product development, and operational risk areas.
• Initiate and implement improvements to front office processes to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, preferably within a treasury environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of treasury products and the associated operational risks within the treasury landscape.
• Direct experience and knowledge of Global Markets businesses in areas such as Product Control, Middle Office Operations, and Risk is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically while also ensuring end-to-end execution.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Sound organizational skills and a disciplined approach to planning and delivering against deadlines.
