ROLE PURPOSE
The UI/UX & Graphic Designer (App & Web) is responsible for shaping Guardian Singapore’s digital customer experience across the mobile app and website. The role combines strong visual design and practical UI/UX skills to deliver on‑brand, engaging, and locally relevant digital assets, ensure consistent application of design systems, and collaborate with stakeholders to create seamless, conversion‑ready user journeys.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- UI/UX Design Execution for App & Web
- Apply group‑wide UI/UX guidelines and design systems to deliver consistent, responsive designs for Guardian Online (web and mobile app).
- Tailor layouts and interaction flows to meet Singapore customer needs and commercial requirements.
- Prepare user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to support new features, modules, or journeys.
- Conduct usability checks and support UAT with product teams.
- Graphic & Campaign Asset Creation
- Design and produce high‑impact digital assets including web banners, homepage modules, category headers, app visuals, and push‑notification creatives.
- Adapt master campaign key visuals for multiple formats and devices (desktop, mobile) ensuring legibility, brand consistency, and performance.
- Deliver production‑ready assets in correct dimensions, formats, and compression standards.
- Localisation & Visual Quality Assurance
- Customise shared design elements to align with Singapore’s promotional calendar, customer habits, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct preflight checks and QA for all visual assets and UI deployments across iOS, Android, and responsive web.
- Identify and elevate UI/UX issues to product and tech teams for resolution.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Online Manager, Marketing, Commercial, and Tech teams to align design timelines and priorities.
- Lead creative calls, summarise action items, and coordinate dependencies across teams.
- Support internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of creative assets.
- Performance Tracking & Design Governance
- Monitor post‑launch performance of digital assets and UI updates (e.g., CTR, engagement, bounce rates) and recommend improvements.
- Maintain asset libraries, design documentation, and version control to ensure smooth handover and team alignment.
REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Degree in Visual Communication, Digital Design, Interaction Design, Multimedia, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of UI/UX + digital graphic design experience with a strong portfolio.
- Proficient in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator; knowledge of responsive layouts, asset optimisation, accessibility, basic HTML/CSS.
- Experience collaborating across Marketing, Commercial, Product, and Tech teams.
- Strong communication, project management, and ability to handle multiple requests/deadlines.
- Customer‑focused, detail‑oriented, organised, flexible, and proactive.
- Eager to learn and stay updated on design and e‑commerce trends.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across Finance, Operations, and Property teams.
