Job summary

A leading construction recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a proactive Project Engineer to support the planning and execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist in site supervision, control costs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should hold a Diploma or Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in the construction industry. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience with Additions & Alterations (A&A) in commercial buildings is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in site supervision and daily operations.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate technical aspects of construction projects.
  • Monitor project progress, conduct inspections, and attend site meetings.
  • Control costs for materials and labor; assist in budgeting and tendering.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and quality control measures.
  • Prepare monthly status reports and manage change orders.
  • Mentor junior team members and resolve on‑site construction issues.
Requirements:
  • Diploma / Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
  • Min 2+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience with Additions & Alterations (A&A) in commercial buildings is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading drawings, writing reports, and using MS Office.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work independently, under pressure, with high initiative.
