Job description

The Treasury, Cash & Capital Planning Manager is responsible for end-to-end treasury management across the Group, combining hands‑on cash operations, execution of treasury systems and forward‑looking liquidity planning, financial modelling and primary bank engagement.

Role Purpose

The role spans daily cash visibility and payment execution, Kyriba treasury system ownership, and medium‑to‑long‑term capital planning, ensuring disciplined liquidity management, robust controls and a single, credible financial narrative with banks and lenders. The role partners closely with the CFO on funding strategy, refinancing, covenant management and treasury governance, while remaining directly accountable for operational treasury execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Treasury Operations & Cash Management

  • Own daily cash balance monitoring across all Group bank accounts.
  • Execute and oversee payments through Kyriba in line with approval matrices and controls.
  • Monitor cash movements, investigate delayed, rejected or blocked transactions and resolve exceptions.
  • Prepare daily and weekly cash position summaries for management.
  • Execute inter‑company funding movements as required.

2. Bank Account Management, KYC & Sanctions Coordination

  • Manage bank account openings, amendments and closures across Group entities.
  • Prepare, submit and track KYC/AML documentation including periodic refreshes.
  • Act as the primary operational contact with banks on sanctions screening and compliance matters, including:
    • Payment holds or sanctions hits
    • Requests for underlying transaction details or supporting documents
    • Clarifications on beneficiary, vessel, trade route or counterparty information
  • Coordinate internal responses with Finance, AP, Legal and Commercial teams.
  • Maintain clear documentation and audit trails for sanctions‑related queries and resolutions.

3. Kyriba Treasury System Ownership

  • Act as treasury lead and key user for Kyriba, including:
    • Bank connectivity and account configuration
    • Validation of payment formats, regulatory fields and screening data
    • Participation in UAT, parallel runs and cut‑over activities
  • Own post go‑live BAU operations:
    • Payment processing and monitoring
    • User access administration and account maintenance
    • Issue tracking and resolution with IT and Kyriba support
  • Drive ongoing optimisation and standardisation of treasury system usage.

4. Liquidity Management & Cash Forecasting

  • Own short‑ and medium‑term liquidity management across the Group.
  • Maintain rolling 13‑week cash flow forecasts and extend visibility to 3‑year liquidity outlooks.
  • Monitor funding utilisation, liquidity headroom and cash buffers.
  • Align forecast assumptions with actual cash behaviour and treasury realities.

5. Financial Modelling & Capital Planning

  • Develop and maintain integrated financial models covering:
    • Cash flow and liquidity
    • Funding structures
    • Covenant calculations and headroom
    • Downside and stress‑test scenarios
  • Support refinancing, restructuring and new funding initiatives through robust modelling.
  • Provide early‑warning analysis and recommend mitigating actions to management.

6. Bank & Lender Engagement

  • Act as a primary point of contact for relationship banks and lenders alongside the CFO.
  • Prepare and present cash flow forecasts, funding updates and covenant reporting.
  • Coordinate bank information requests and ensure consistency and credibility of data shared.
  • Support negotiations on facilities, waivers, renewals and documentation.

7. Governance, Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with authorization matrices and segregation of duties.
  • Maintain operational logs covering:
    • Bank accounts and KYC
    • Sanctions queries
    • Payment exceptions and resolutions
  • Strengthen treasury controls, documentation and audit readiness.
  • Support internal and external audits with treasury‑related documentation.

8. Stakeholder Coordination & Support

  • Partner with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, IT and Legal teams to align treasury execution and forecasts.
  • Support the CFO with materials for Board, lenders and internal committees.
  • Contribute to treasury transformation, clean‑ups and automation initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
  • 8–12+ years of experience across treasury operations, cash management and capital planning.
  • Hands‑on experience with Kyriba (implementation and BAU).
  • Strong financial modelling skills with a practical, cash‑focused mindset.
  • Proven experience dealing directly with banks and lenders.
  • Solid understanding of funding structures, debt instruments, covenants and liquidity risk.
  • Experience in asset‑heavy, leveraged or cyclical industries is an advantage.
