Overview

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Trading Operations professional to support our client's regional trading team. This role will cover end-to-end contract execution for agricultural commodities, ensuring smooth flow of shipments, documentation, and risk control. The successful candidate will work closely with traders, logistics providers, and counterparties to deliver operational excellence in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities
  • Handle post-trade execution for physical commodity contracts, including contract entry, amendments, and confirmations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, shipping lines, surveyors, and inspection agencies to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Prepare, review, and process trade documentation (e.g., contracts, LCs, BLs, invoices, certificates)
  • Monitor shipment schedules, track cargo movements, and proactively resolve any operational issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, trade finance requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Liaise with traders and risk management teams to ensure accurate exposure reporting and PnL validation
  • Maintain strong working relationships with counterparties to facilitate efficient communication and execution
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within operations to enhance efficiency and reduce risk
Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Min. 7-8 years of experience in trading operations, preferably in agri commodities, dry bulk/ containers
  • Familiarity with international trade documentation, shipping processes, and Incoterms
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP/trade systems is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones
