Job summary

A leading service company in Singapore is seeking a Toolroom Assistant to manage the Tool Management System (TMS) and ensure tools are well-maintained and organized. The ideal candidate will have NITEC in Engineering and at least 2 years of toolroom experience. Responsibilities include coordinating machine service schedules, monitoring tool conditions, and enforcing workplace safety. This full-time position offers a salary range of $2800 to $3000 per month, with work hours from Monday to Friday.

Job Title: Toolroom Assistant (ID3564)

Location: Seletar

Working Hours: Mon‑Fri 8am‑5pm

Salary: $2800‑$3000

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the Tool Management System (TMS) for tracking, issuing, and returning tools.
  • Coordinate machine service and repair schedules with vendors or internal maintenance teams.
  • Monitor and verify calibration due dates for lifting and measuring equipment; elevate issues when recertification is required.
  • Ensure all tools are in good working condition; arrange repair or replacement when needed.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient tool store front counter and ensure timely issuance/return of tools.
  • Monitor consumables and expendables to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Enforce 5S initiatives and maintain proper housekeeping in the tool room to support workplace safety and efficiency.
Job Requirements
  • NITEC in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of toolroom experience.
  • Basic understanding of machining processes (milling, turning, drilling, grinding).
  • Familiarity with machine capabilities (CNC machines, lathes, milling and grinding equipment).
