Job summary

A leading lighting solutions company in Singapore is looking for an Electrical Engineer to handle residential and public lighting projects. Responsibilities include providing electrical design layout drawings, preparing bills of materials, and conducting daily site visits for smart home automation. The ideal candidate should have experience in testing and commissioning electrical control panels, be familiar with various lighting control systems, and be proficient in AutoCAD. This role offers an opportunity to work independently on-site.

Qualifications

• Ability to integrate electrical with mechanical engineering work.
• Experience in installing, testing, and commissioning electrical control panels.
• Familiarity with lighting control bands such as Siemens, AB, Omron, and others.

Job description

Job Scope

• Handle lighting projects (residential and public projects)
• Handle lighting product testing and evaluation
• Provide electrical and control panel layout drawings
• Prepare bills of materials
• Implementation of Electrical design in a project from concept to design and programming
• PLC programming. Should be familiar with lighting control bands such as Siemens, AB, Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Lutron, KNX etc...
• Install, start‑up, perform testing and commissioning of electrical control panels at work and site.
• Daily site visits to various residential projects to assist in smart home automation programming

Skills required

• To be responsible for integration of both electrical with mechanical engineering work
• Install, start‑up, perform testing and commissioning of electrical control panels at work and site
• Provide operation and maintenance training to customers and co‑workers.
• Should be able to prepare Operational and Maintenance manuals of the projects undertaken
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty delivery systems.
• Required to work independently on‑site and in‑house.
• Coordination work with owner, subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure customer expectations are met as per engineering standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of the reports.
• Able to use AutoCAD to draft electrical lighting plans.
