Job summary

A leading engineering solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to handle customer enquiries, supervise site installations, and manage project costs. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant diploma, with 1 to 5 years of experience in the engineering construction, oil & gas, or marine industries. Strong skills in piping design, project management, and interpersonal communication are crucial for this role. Willingness to travel for business is also required.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience for degree holders in relevant fields.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience for diploma holders.
• Exposure in Engineering construction, Oil & Gas or Marine, Refinery Industries.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries and provide training proposals.

Handle customer enquiries, provide training proposal and supervise site installation works.

Job Description

• To handle shipyard feedback and investigation on field failure issues. Able to conduct an initial failure analysis at site.
• To furnish and co-ordinate manpower & resources to attend to urgent & major issues due to product quality or installation issues at site.
• To manage costs and material usages to ensure project is completed on time.
• To guide and assist Technical Support engineers on their site assignments or repair works.
• Prepare training Material take off (MTO) & installation manuals according to specification .
• Generate labour hour estimates to attend the repairs, modifications, survey , training & supervisions.
• Capable to conduct a higher level of training, e.g. supervisor & inspector training.
• To attend meeting and discussion with customer and agents on site issues.
• Able to propose solutions to meet customer’s needs.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1 to 2 years' experience.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience for those who possess a Diploma.
• Exposure in Engineering construction, Oil & Gas or Marine, Refinery Industries.
