Ingram Micro is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Technical Practice Consultant – Automation to spearhead our automation and observability strategy across the Red Hat, IBM, and Elastic technology stacks. You will lead the development, execution, and scaling of our automation‑focused technical practice, enabling our partner ecosystem to deliver high‑impact solutions in IT operations, DevSecOps, hybrid cloud, and enterprise observability.

This role requires strong technical depth, practice‑building experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, partners, and internal teams in a distribution‑driven go‑to‑market model.

Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & GTM Strategy
  • Define and lead Ingram Micro’s automation and observability practice strategy across Red Hat, IBM, and Elastic portfolios.
  • Develop and maintain reusable solution offerings, partner playbooks, reference architectures, and use cases.
  • Align with vendor and internal sales leadership to drive pipeline growth and practice expansion.
Partner Enablement & Technical Capacity Building
  • Build and deliver robust enablement programs to uplift partner technical capabilities across:
    • Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and OpenShift
    • IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps, Turbonomic, Instana
    • Elastic Stack (ELK) – including observability, SIEM, and APM solutions
  • Lead bootcamps, technical workshops, webinars, and labs for Ingram Micro partners and resellers.
  • Guide partners through solution design, certifications, and delivery readiness.
Presales & Solution Development
  • Support strategic partner opportunities by providing technical consultation, solution validation, and architecture leadership.
  • Co‑develop proofs‑of‑concept and pilots in collaboration with partners and vendors.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Red Hat, IBM, and Elastic tools with cloud, DevOps, and ITSM ecosystems (e.g., ServiceNow, Azure/AWS, GitOps).
  • Thought Leadership & Ecosystem Collaboration
    • Act as the thought leader representing Ingram Micro in external forums, partner events, and industry panels.
    • Collaborate closely with Red Hat, IBM, and Elastic technical teams to ensure solution roadmap alignment and co‑selling support.
    • Maintain a strong pulse on emerging trends in automation, AI‑driven operations, and observability.
Required Skills And Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in automation, solution architecture, or practice leadership in a B2B technology environment.
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform & OpenShift
    • IBM Automation Stack (Cloud Pak for AIOps, Instana, Turbonomic)
    • Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, Logstash, APM, SIEM)
  • Strong track record of building partner practices, developing GTM programs, and supporting solution sales.
  • Strong experience in cloud environments: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Hands‑on experience with modern automation frameworks, observability pipelines, and integration architectures.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and partner engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist (Ansible, OpenShift)
  • IBM Certified Professional – Cloud Pak for AIOps / Instana
  • Elastic Certified Engineer or Observability Specialist
  • Knowledge of ITSM, DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD), and cloud‑native architectures
  • Experience working in a distributor‑led model with strong partner/channel exposure
