We are seeking an experienced BMS Technical Manager to lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and implementing advanced Building Management Systems for commercial and industrial facilities.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Siemens PLC systems as the primary platform, while also possessing working knowledge of other BMS solutions and protocols. This role involves close collaboration with our AI Smart Building team to integrate BMS/iBMS solutions into AI-driven smart building systems.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Implementation
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end implementation of BMS projects, including HVAC systems (Chilled Water plant, AHU, FCU), integration with other systems via APIs, OPC, and other protocols.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuit design and ACMV equipment such as pumps, chillers, valves.
- Lead project and discuss with customers on technical issues, execute from design review through commissioning and handover.
- Analyze, inspect, and resolve implementation challenges to meet customer requirements and operational objectives.
Technical Leadership & System Assessment
- Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and detailed system assessments to ensure technical compatibility, performance, and scalability.
- Review system designs, control strategies, and integration architectures for compliance with project and operational standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation and post-commissioning phases.
Planning, Budgeting & Procurement
- Work closely with Project Management team and assist in developing project schedules and budgets.
- Oversee procurement of materials, hardware, software, and equipment required for project delivery.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
Integration with AI Smart Building Systems
- Work closely with the AI Smart Building team to provide domain knowledge and design specifications for integrating BMS/iBMS solutions into AI-driven smart building platforms.
- Ensure seamless interoperability between traditional BMS systems and advanced AI analytics for energy optimization, fault detection & diagnostic, and smart operations.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as consultants, contractors, and clients to align technical and operational expectations.
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Product Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Provide structured feedback to product development and data engineering teams regarding implementation challenges, system performance, and support issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, usability, and operational efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation, including system architecture drawings and schematics, simple electrical circuit diagrams, control system write‑ups or FDS documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) documents.
- Ensure documentation meets internal standards and client requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree: Electrical or Electronic Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Building Automation or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10–15 years of Operational Technology (OT) experience, including BMS system and solution design, development, and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of Control Systems.
- Chilled Water Systems and Chiller Plant Optimization (preferred).
- Electrical line Diagram (SLD).
- Basic understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning.
- Primary expertise in Siemens PLC systems, Codesys or other IEC 61131-compliant software platforms, with working knowledge of other BMS platforms and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, KNX, API, OPC, etc).
