Job summary

A prominent maintenance service provider in Singapore is seeking a Technical Team Leader to oversee plant maintenance and ensure operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will manage technical teams, conduct site inspections, and provide engineering solutions while liaising with clients and maintaining safety standards. A diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience are required. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends is essential.

Job Description & Requirements
  • Lead and manage technical teams handling plant maintenance, equipment servicing, and building maintenance works.
  • Oversee 24/7 breakdown support operations and ensure rapid response for critical plant issues.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise maintenance schedules, shutdown works, and project deployments.
  • Conduct site inspections, identify technical problems and provide effective engineering solutions.
  • Manage operations on Jurong Island, including manpower planning, safety coordination, and permit processes.
  • Ensure proper servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment and machinery.
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal teams for mechanical, electrical, and civil-related issues.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare work reports, quotations, maintenance records and project updates.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, especially for Jurong Island sites.
  • Guide, mentor and train technicians and supervisors.
  • Handle any ad-hoc duties assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Able to work well with others as a competent team and team leader.
  • Able to work flexible hours, night shift and Sundays if required
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical & Communication Engineering. Or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical & Communication Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge on the tools, equipment, and materials common to the Mechanical & Electrical trade.
  • Knowledge on hydraulic & pneumatic system & control.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards and regulations.
  • Skill in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independent and self-responsible manner.
  • Able to work on an 8 hours rotating shifts.
  • Flexible to work on Sundays & Public Holidays.
  • Class 3 License Required
