Key Responsibilities
- Transfer Pricing & Tax Strategy
- Design, implement, and maintain optimal tax planning and structuring strategies centered around Singapore as the international headquarters.
- Manage the tax aspects of intercompany transactions and supply chain structuring.
- Global Tax Compliance & Risk Management
- Own the tax compliance framework and risk map for key overseas subsidiaries, with primary focus on Mexico, the United States, and Europe.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of tax treaty applications, particularly between manufacturing entities and principal/commissionaire structures.
- Develop and manage robust tax risk assessment and response mechanisms.
- External Advisor & Resource Management
- Strategically select, manage, and coordinate the work of external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions to ensure cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.
- Business Partnering & Commercial Support
- Act as a trusted tax advisor to the Sales, Marketing, and business development teams, providing timely and practical tax guidance on daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Review and advise on tax clauses in significant commercial contracts, partnership agreements, and tender offers.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of tax professionals (if applicable).
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and Business Unit leaders to integrate tax planning into business processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law. A Master's in Taxation or a professional qualification (CPA, CA, ADIT, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant international tax experience, with a significant portion gained in a multinational corporation and/or a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep, practical expertise in OECD Transfer Pricing guidelines and global implementation.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing tax-efficient holding and operating structures, with specific knowledge of Singapore's tax regime and treaty network.
- Hands-on experience managing direct and indirect tax compliance and controversies in key regions (US, Mexico, Europe).
- Strong understanding of tax treaty application and supply chain tax optimization.
- Personal Competencies: Excellent business acumen, superior communication and stakeholder management skills, ability to translate complex tax concepts for non-experts, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
