Skills and Competencies
  • At least 15 years of experience in financial services, with exposure to strategy and business management; credit ratings experience across multiple industry sectors is a plus
  • Strong analytical and business skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans, and drive change and improvement initiatives
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across diverse backgrounds and jurisdictions
  • Familiar with debt capital markets, credit ratings, and credit risk solutions in APAC markets
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively across all levels within the organization
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects

Education
  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree (or equivalent); MBA preferred
Responsibilities
  • Develop, communicate, and implement strategic growth initiatives and processes
  • Support Moody’s representative directors in affiliate management and facilitate interactions between Moody’s Ratings and its affiliates
  • Lead analysis of new business opportunities, including potential investments and partnerships in Asian markets
  • Plan and execute strategic projects to enhance market relevance and positioning
  • Support the Chief Executive Officer of Moody’s Ratings Singapore in managing risk and resilience related matters and office-wide activities
  • Represent the firm in external engagements as required
  • Provide support and oversight for a wide range of strategic and ad-hoc APAC and global projects, such as APAC strategy presentations, country assessments, and senior management onsite activities
  • Manage long-term strategic projects at domestic affiliates, which may include overseas relocation and leading cross-functional teams. For projects involving credit ratings and research, responsibilities will include elevating ratings and research quality, strengthening operational excellence, and ensuring robust regulatory compliance
About the Role

The SVP–Strategy & Business Management will be responsible for developing and implementing Moody's Ratings regional strategy, with a focus on APAC markets.

Key responsibilities include conducting market analysis, managing domestic affiliates, identifying partnership and investment opportunities, and executing strategic plans to enhance market relevance. The role will involve projects that require extended overseas travel and/or overseas assignments to domestic affiliates to support the development and execution of their credit ratings and research activities, as well as other ancillary businesses. Additionally, the role involves supporting Singapore country management in risk and resilience-related matters and contributing to other regional initiatives.

Given the nature of the role, priority consideration will be given to candidates who are flexible and open to undertaking secondments to support affiliates, as required by business.
