A leading financial institution in Singapore is looking for a Senior Vice President for Legal Analytics. The role entails leading a team of analysts, driving data strategies, and ensuring the quality of analytics outputs. Ideal candidates will have over 15 years of experience in analytics roles, strong leadership abilities, and familiarity with tools like SQL, SAS, and Tableau. A STEM-related degree is required for consideration.
The Legal Analytics head at AIM (Senior Vice President) will be based in Gurugram and report to the Director / Managing Director. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of Business Analysts, Visualization & Reporting experts, Information Management experts, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists. Your team's responsibilities include Business Analytics, Insight Generation, Visualization / Dashboards, Automation and Reporting, Data Strategy, Data Pipeline, Governance & Reporting, Model Development, Validation, Governance, and Documentation.
It is crucial that you ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of all work products and refine methods and procedures for data acquisition to guarantee validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy. You must also oversee proper documentation and traceability of project work and respond promptly to internal and external reviews.
As the Legal Analytics head, you will manage professional teams and departments, integrating subject matter and industry expertise within the defined area. Your responsibilities will contribute to setting standards for operations and require a deep understanding of how different areas integrate within the sub-function to align with the objectives of the entire function. Your role demands basic commercial awareness and developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince colleagues and occasional external customers.
You will be accountable for the volume, quality, timeliness, and delivery of results within your area of responsibility. Additionally, you may be involved in short-term and resource planning, with full management responsibility for a team, including people management, budgeting, and planning.
Your key responsibilities will include acting as a Strategic Leader, providing support for Business Execution activities for the Legal Chief Operating Office (COO), implementing analytical solutions, managing external law firm spend, creating Data Strategy, Design & Standardization, and establishing Monitoring Routines & Scorecards. You will oversee Data Analytics, Insight Generation, Data Strategy, Model implementation, and Reporting activities, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
Additionally, you will work with large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support business strategies, identify and compile data sets using various tools, develop analytics strategy, and manage risk appropriately.
To qualify for this role, you should have at least 15 years of experience in Analytics & Transformation roles, proficiency in Data Analytics tools / technologies such as SQL, SAS, Python, PySpark, and Tableau, a strong understanding of the Data & Analytics ecosystem, and proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. You should possess at least 5 years of People management experience, along with expertise in interacting with senior stakeholders, analytics thought leadership skills, and effective project planning capabilities. A Bachelors or Masters degree in STEM is required, with a Masters degree preferred.
