Our client is a Japanese company that is a market leader in glass and chemical products. Currently, they are looking for a Supply Chain Management Officer (1 Year Contract) position to join their growing team!
Reporting to: Supply Chain Management Manager.
Division: Flat Glass Division
Responsibilities
- Send invoices to Factory and follow up to obtain required documents (e.g., manufacturing certificates, etc.).
- Process and manage order revisions for breakages, ensuring all updates are finalized before invoicing, based on factory notifications.
- Review and amend Carrier’s Bill of Lading (B/L) as necessary.
- Review margin details and verify information before invoice confirmation.
- Consolidate, review, amend, and send the complete set of export documents to the Order Team.
- Handle LC/DA/DP term orders — apply, consolidate, obtain required signatures, and submit documents to the bank or customer as applicable.
- Apply for marine insurance, review details, and secure the marine insurance certificate.
- Submit tax invoice to the Finance Department.
- Prepare and update reports (weekly and monthly as required).

Requirements & Preferences
Must
- Possess a minimum of a NITEC in Supply Chain
- Inexperienced candidates who are keen and possess a strong interest in supply chain management are welcome to apply (Training will be provided)
- Maximum 5 years of supply chain experience in the shipping or manufacturing industry
- Pleasant and mature personality with strong customer service skills and communication skills
- Comfortable doing heavy data entries and documentation
- Able to multitask and work independently with minimum supervision
- Willing to work overtime when required
Advantageous
- Diploma in Supply Chain
- Familiarity with shipping and manufacturing procedures preferred.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, import/export documents preferred.
- General awareness of world events and issues that affect shipping
