Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Job Scopes:

• Source and evaluate Suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability
• Request and analyse for quotes from Suppliers
• Coordinate purchasing activities with Suppliers, Production, Quality and Engineers
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and track order fulfillment
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with Suppliers
• Maintain strong working relationships with Suppliers
• Responsible for negotiating with Suppliers to ensure Company is always in an advantageous position
• Responsible for input, accuracy and completeness of database information in Procurement and Supply Chain module (e.g. lead time, inventory turnover, price, etc.)
• Monitor stock levels and management replenishment according to MRP to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Coordinate with Productions, Sales and Store to align material availability with demand
• Monitor the costs and schedules to ensure highest quality at best value
• Interact closely with Suppliers and Engineer/QA to resolve quality issues
• Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery
• Liaise with freight forwarders for import/export matters
• Optimise transportation and warehouse operations for cost efficiency

Qualifications:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management and at least 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain in similar industry
• Familiar with import/export procedures and Incoterms
• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification
• ERP and MRP knowledge is required
