Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and analyze data from various sources to support reporting and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Perform data mining and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Support data governance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Automate data processes and reporting workflows where possible.
• Document data definitions, processes, and reporting standards for internal use.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging tools in data analytics.
• Provide training or guidance to team members on data tools and reporting techniques.
• Participate in system upgrades or data migration projects as a data SME (Subject Matter Expert).
• Work closely with IT to ensure data infrastructure supports analytical needs.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
  
  

Skills

• Fresh graduates are welcome too. 1-3 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python or R).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with supply chain or IT data is a plus.
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
