Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and analyze data from various sources to support reporting and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Perform data mining and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Support data governance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Automate data processes and reporting workflows where possible.
- Document data definitions, processes, and reporting standards for internal use.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging tools in data analytics.
- Provide training or guidance to team members on data tools and reporting techniques.
- Participate in system upgrades or data migration projects as a data SME (Subject Matter Expert).
- Work closely with IT to ensure data infrastructure supports analytical needs.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
Skills
- Fresh graduates are welcome too. 1-3 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python or R).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with supply chain or IT data is a plus.
- Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
