Job summary

A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking a Quality Management Specialist to support new component qualification and oversee quality measures during design phases. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive sector. Strong knowledge of quality standards and methodologies is essential. Job description
Responsibilities


  • Component Quality Management: Support qualification of new components and requalification activities (e.g., Product Change Notifications) in line with company's Product Life Cycle and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes.

  • Preventive Quality Planning: Plan, initiate, and oversee advanced quality measures during the design and development phases to ensure supplier components meet all technical and quality requirements.

  • Work closely with global and cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management, Local SQM, Customer Quality, and Logistics.

  • Participate in the review of corrective actions from VDA 6.3 audits, with a strong focus on early involvement and preventive measures.

  • Contribute to lessons learned and best practice sharing across the category, organization, and supplier base.



Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic and/or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Must have 3 years working experience in Automotive Industry and Suppliers Quality scopes.

  • Good understanding of Component Introduction in design & development phase, APQP management

  • Good knowledge in process for plastic overmolding/molding and its secondary process with cosmetic requirement, stamping, press-fit stamping, sub-component assembly, automated inline testing, wire cutting/terminating for cable assemblies

  • Strong knowledge in quality related methodologies and standards (e.g., FMEA, 8D problem solving, 5WHY, etc.)

  • Able to work independently and also in team-based environment
