Job summary

A leading manpower services provider in Singapore seeks a Student Development & Engagement Officer to support students' holistic growth through after-school programmes. You will be responsible for mentoring students, coordinating programmes, and collaborating with teachers to promote engagement and learning. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, relevant experience with secondary students, and is passionate about student development. This role is a 10-month contract from January to November 2026, with working hours from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Minimum O-Level qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with secondary school students.
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills with empathy and patience.
  • Basic counselling knowledge and confidence in student guidance.
  • Strong organizational and programme-planning abilities.
  • Passion for student development and engagement.

Job description

The Student Development & Engagement Officer supports students holistic growth by designing after-school programmes, mentoring, and providing guidance in both curriculum and co-curriculum matters. The role involves close collaboration with teachers, HODs, and support teams to create a safe, meaningful, and engaging after-school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Design & Coordination: Plan and implement after-school programmes that support academic, character, and enrichment development; coordinate logistics and resources; collaborate with teachers and departments.

  • Student Mentoring & Guidance: Mentor students, build rapport, monitor attendance, and provide individual or small-group guidance on routines, learning habits, and personal goals.

  • Counselling & Support: Conduct basic counselling and check-ins; guide students on academics, CCA, time management, and personal challenges; elevate cases as needed while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Collaboration & Reporting: Communicate student progress with teachers and HODs; support school-wide engagement initiatives; prepare reports on programme outcomes.

Requirements & Competencies
