Job description

For this position, we are looking for a paralegal in our Singapore or London office focusing on managing internal structuring projects and initiatives. Partners Group’s structuring team is responsible for developing highly innovative investment structures for investors globally. At Partners Group, the structuring team plays a pivotal role in fund strategy and development, as well as ongoing servicing and maintenance. Structuring team members work closely with the firm’s client relationship management, investment and operations team, external service providers as well as with clients to deliver market leading products.

What will you be responsible for
  • Efficiently managing structuring projects from a legal, regulatory, operational and project management aspect. This includes coordinating regular fund document updates to align with regulatory requirements, coordinating ad-hoc amendments in relation to platform wide changes, preparing investor communication and coordinating internal processes to track investor consent, etc.
  • Assuming responsibility and ownership for certain fund structuring processes
  • Conducting research on legal and regulatory considerations relevant to specific clients, products and jurisdictions
  • Instructing and managing external legal advisors and other service providers
  • Creating, collating and maintaining trackers and overviews on certain internal processes for record keeping and/or decision-making purposes
  • Assisting in general administrative tasks and corporate actions related to investment funds such as term extension, name change, LPA change (process wise rather than drafting the legal documents)
  • Creating, collating, updating overviews to assist with various processes such as fund formation, marketing, invoices, MFN etc.
  • Managing and maintaining the marketing disclosures for various jurisdictions in offering documents
  • Drafting submissions to internal committees regarding fund formations and projects
  • Liaising with service providers and internal teams to maintain oversight and timely payment of legal invoices
  • Preparing MFN election sheets
  • Maintaining document databases and organization
What we expect
  • Paralegal with around 3 years of relevant work experience at a law firm, bank or asset manager (preferably focused on private markets investments)
  • General knowledge of global fund jurisdictions and fund structures
  • Experience in project management
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with strong desire to learn and succeed
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and project management skills to manage multiple projects at any one time
  • Highly detail oriented with strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex topics with both internal and external parties
