Job summary

A leading main contractor in Singapore is seeking an experienced Civil or Structural Engineer to join their team. The role involves preparing connection details, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and at least two years of experience using Tekla for structural steelworks. A competitive salary of up to S$7,500 is offered, depending on experience and qualifications.

Our Client is a A1 Main Contractor handling Civil and Infrastructure projects. With increasing projects in the pipeline locally & overseas, they are seeking experienced and professional individuals to join their local team.

Job Description

• Prepare connection details, member sizing, and steel framing layouts.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings with fabricators and subcontractors.
• Work with architects, engineers, and project teams to meet design requirements.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, delivery, and installation.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
• Ensure designs meet relevant codes and regulatory guidelines.
• Resolve design issues, clashes, and technical queries from site.
• Assist with planning and managing the structural design scope.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of steel structural design and construction.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Tekla, and Revit.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and structural behaviour.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Able to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of independent problem solving.
• Attending site meetings and inspections when required.
• Minimum two years’ experience using Tekla for structural steelworks.

• Location: West
• Working days: 5.5 Days
• Salary: up to S$7,500 / Negotiable + VB (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications).
