Job Description

The selected personnel would be expected to play an important role in providing professional care to patients. In addition, this role would require the applicant to:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients’ social circumstances, lifestyle practices, and dietary habits to deliver individualized counselling and facilitate improved understanding and management of diabetes.

• Engaging in close collaboration with the Endocrinologist to formulate and implement tailored care plans that promote optimal diabetes control.

• Providing comprehensive education to patients on insulin administration techniques, glucose monitoring (via glucometer or continuous glucose monitoring systems), interpretation of glucose profiles, and other diabetes-related counselling, across both inpatient and outpatient care settings.

• Supporting the clinic’s quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and service delivery processes.

• Executing any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Reporting Officer.

The Successful Applicant

You will be a self-driven and motivated employee with good knowledge and concept of nursing operations. In addition, you must possess

• Diploma/Degree in Nursing with a Specialist Diploma in Diabetes Education

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Demonstrated experience in providing comprehensive health education to patients with diabetes.
