Job summary

A leading technology outsourcing firm in Singapore is hiring a Software Engineer (DevOps) for a 12-month contract. The role involves developing infrastructure improvements, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the reliability of critical data platforms. Candidates should have strong expertise in DevOps and CI/CD concepts, along with experience in programming and cloud architecture. This role is open to Singaporeans and requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Competitive salary between 6000-8000 SGD will be offered.

Job Title: Software Engineer (DevOps | 12 mos | Govt)

Duration: 12 months

Location: Pasir Panjang Rd., Mapletree Business City

Salary Range: 6000-8000 SGD

Eligibility: Only Singaporeans

Job Description

• Develop new infrastructure improvements and initiatives for the "The Company" Data Platform in areas such as data observability, Infrastructure-as-Code, DataOps, etc
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure code consistency and environment segregation
• Develop CI/CD practices relevant to DataOps to foster close collaboration among teammembers
• Develop custom applications and workflows to enable smooth user experience and operations
• Ensure the reliability and security of the "The Company" Data Platform to minimise any data downtime for "The Company"-critical data products
• Serve as accredited subject matter experts for the "The Company" Data Platform technology stack, including but not limited to Databricks, Tableau, etc

Required Work Experience

• Strong skills in DevOps and CI/CD concepts Familiar with programming languages such as TypeScript, Terraform, JavaScript, etc
• Familiar with AWS architecture concepts (e.g. VPCs, PrivateLink, Route 53, etc)
• Experience with SQL and Python (knowledge of Spark or distributed computing is a bonus)
• Experience with infrastructure management on cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Driven and motivated team player who can work independently
• Passion for championing new improvement initiatives and desire to always make things better
• Willing to learn and willing to share knowledge and mentor other team members

Required Skills (e.g. MS Office)

• Min. 3 years relevant work experience
• Open to pivot or gaining exposure in data engineering/data analytics field
• Open to embedding in data teams with minimal SWE mentorship
