Job description

A curtain wall site supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation of curtain wall systems on construction projects. This includes managing the installation crew, coordinating with other trades, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards, and maintaining project documentation. They also play a crucial role in problem-solving and providing technical support during the installation process.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising Installation Crews:
  • Directing and overseeing the work of curtain wall installation teams, ensuring they follow approved drawings and work instructions.
  • Coordinating with Project Managers and Other Stakeholders:
  • Liaising with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Enforcing safety protocols and regulations, conducting site inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards, and ensuring that all workers are using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Monitoring workmanship to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any quality issues that arise.
  • Maintaining accurate records of daily progress, materials used, and any issues encountered during installation. This may include site reports, safety reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Addressing any technical issues that arise during the installation process, providing solutions, and offering guidance to the installation team.
  • Ensuring that the necessary materials are available on site, coordinating deliveries, and managing material storage.
  • Reading and understanding architectural and engineering drawings, shop drawings, and other relevant project documents.
  • Participating in site meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and coordinate work with other trades.
