Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore is looking for a professional to oversee elevator and escalator installation projects. You will supervise subcontractors, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and collaborate with customers for efficient scheduling. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in engineering or related fields and at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in MRT projects. A proactive attitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in elevator/escalator installation or modernization.
• Experience working on elevator/escalator projects at MRT work sites will be advantageous.
• Perform work night shift when required.

Job Summary

You will report to the Project Engineer / Manager and lead the supervision of elevator and escalator installation projects from project takeover to handover, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise subcontractors to execute installation and modernization of lifts and escalators on site, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications
• Collaborate with customers and subcontractors to plan and coordinate installation activities, optimizing resource allocation and timelines
• Verify site dimensions and manage logistics for timely equipment delivery, ensuring consistency between structural drawings and actual site conditions
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and project progress throughout installation phases
• Perform material requisition, report quality feedback, project supervision and schedule of works.
• Ensure installation is carried out as per drawings and approved specifications.
• Conduct installation checks with customers in accordance to approved checklists.
• Ensure installed/modernized equipment can be readily startup for testing and commissioning.
• Report project progress and any non-conformities to superior.
• Need to understand and comply to local Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirement as well as site requirements.

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Higher Nitec in Vertical Transportation, Engineering, or relevant disciplines
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in elevator/escalator installation or modernization of escalator
• Experience working on elevator/escalator projects at MRT work sites will be advantageous
